History says that in the past, a warrior named Mahasen lived in Kataragama. After his death as a warrior, he became a deity and became known as the God Kataragama. Later, the Kataragama Gods fell into a vicious cycle of war. The battle system used by the Gods of Kataragama was Angampora. In this way, the Angampora technique, which has been practiced by many past warriors, dates back to more than 33,000 years.
